you burned the same amount of calories in a day), but increase your TDEE in MFP, Garmin gives you more to eat on their app. But bottom line, if you left everything the same (i.e. How they never fixed it I don't know, it is rather shameful that they force it onto you in the app and then don't use it correctly. They could, like MFP, ask an activity level so they know how to correct the MFP, but they don't. They do not take into account what they are assuming into them. Garmin abuses the MFP numbers and calorie goals. I’m confused, help! Where can I see my TDEE? If I disconnect the two apps will Garmin just give me active calories and not total calories? Is the only way to do this to set my MFP calories as my estimated BMR so that the active calories are only added to that? But then surely your active calories also include a small portion of what would be your BMR for that time period so just adding the two together wouldn’t work? I just want to see my total estimated calorie burn per day, like I could on my Fitbit. However Garmin Connect is rather ridiculously showing me my calorie goal (2,227) PLUS any active calories, giving me silly high numbers. I also log this data each day in a spreadsheet - I used to have a Fitbit where each day’s calorie burn is laid out to see really easily.

I want to be able to compare this to my TDEE each day to see the approx size of this deficit. I have a flat calorie goal in my MFP which takes into account my activity level, this calorie goal was set by my trainer and he estimates it’ll put me into a small calorie deficit.
